Tri hrvatska nogometaša karijeru nastavljaju u Indiji. Riječ je o stoperima Franji Prci i Tomislavu Mrčeli koji su potpisali za SC East Bengal te Marku Leškoviću koji je dogovorio dolazak u Keralu Blasters.
Sva trojica su angažman pronašli kao slobodni igrači nakon što im je istekao ugovor sa Slaven Belupom, Bengaluruom i Dinamom. Tako su se nastavile produbljivati nogometne veze između Hrvatske i Indije obzirom da je njihov izbornik već više od dvije godine Igor Štimac, a u Šibenik je nedavno pristigao reprezentativac Sandesh Jhingan.
Nova sezona indijske Super lige počinje sredinom studenog. U prvom rangu natjecanja sudjeluje 11 klubova koji igraju 20 kola nakon čega najbolje četiri momčadi doigravaju za prvaka. Aktualni nositelj naslova je Mumbai City.
