The United Nations has warned that further three million Yemenis might be receiving a reduced food ration at the end of February 2022, joining other eight million the World Food Program (WFP) had significantly cut their food rations by half after UN aid agencies suspended almost two thirds of vital relief programs in war-ridden Yemen as of January 2022 due to severe funding shortfalls. Only two million people out of the total 13 million WFP beneficiaries in Yemen might be receiving full ration of food as of next March as the WFP needs 1.97 billion US dollar to sustain life-saving interventions for vulnerable families on the brink of famine throughout 2022.
